Product 23/61
The first of a series of laminated A5 cards by Robert Wilcox designed as aide-memoires for skippers approaching harbours where pilotage is complex and key decision making information is needed clearly and quickly.
For each harbour a basic coloured outline chart showing the main contours and drying areas as well as navigational marks is annotated with key comments on courses to steer, tides and direction changes. On most there is a captioned photograph. Each harbour has an approach way point.
The first covering selected harbours in the Solent and on the Isle of Wight provides coverage for Bembridge, Chichester, Newtown River, Alum Bay, The Needles Channel and Beaulieu River.
The five cards are laminated so as to be waterproof and attached to a lanyard so that they are always to hand during the busy period involved in entering approach channels.
